Samui is the first Thai restaurant in Kraków, which is located on the Main market-square on Wiślna1 10. It was created by enthusiasts of Thai culture, history and cuisine, whose goal is to transfer the taste of the orient from Bangkok straight to Kraków. It is a highlight of our dreams and a result of hard work. It goes without saying that among all Asian cuisines, the most popular and loved one is the Thai cuisine. We saw that ourselves and now, through Samui, we give you the chance to experience the same. Valuing the uniqness of Thai cuisine and spicy-sweet taste of the orient, We make every efforts for the dishes served in Samui to re-create the traditional Thai art of cooking.

All Thais, so also Thai cooks, are always smiling and with positive attitude. They are incredibly open and very talkative, and at the same time they are very mysterious when it comes to revealing their own secrets. Cooks, who we hire in Samui, are exactly like that. Every one of them has a great knowledge about cooking, is an open person, who likes to smile and have fun making other people happy. Birthplace of our cooks has a major impact on quality and originality of Thai dishes in Samui, which are prepared in accordance with principles of Thai cuisine, thanks to which they taste exactly like at local restaurants in furthest parts of Thailand
Pim is the creator of our menu and recipes, which are available only at Samui. It is a real Thai master chef, who has a great experience and amazing references in preparing original Thai dishes. She is the essence of what is the best in cooks – sense of taste, imagination, sense of esthetics and elegancy.
Ann’s cooking experience is based on cooking in a few best hotels in Bangkok. Privately, she is interested in yoga and is an animal lover, especially dogs. Despite the fact that she really misses her 3-year old Pitbull Oudi, she decided to stay with us, willing to sightsee Europe and search for new cooking inspirations.
Original taste of the orient does not only include tasty dishes. What matters too is their appearance, and there is nobody better in decorating Thai dishes than him. Base has a sense of esthetics, thanks to which he is the unquestionable master of decorations. Thanks to him, dishes served by us please your eyes before they are eaten. Apart from cooking, he’s hobby is fashion.
The youngest of our Thai cooks, and at the same time very experienced, 23-year old had the possibility to work in many provincial restaurants in southern Thailand, where he was born. He’s signature are his tattoos, who cover the major part of his body. Sometimes, one can have the impression that they reflect his attitude towards life. Privately, he is a very quiet, humble and calm person.
As the first Thai restaurant in Kraków, we do not focus only on Thai cuisine, but also on history, customs and culture of this country, which we enclosed in the interior of our restaurant. Samui is a two-level place comprising basement and a ground floor, where you can find several tables for even over 100 guests. Its interior is designed in most natural and ecologic way, since we chose the greenness of flowers and minimalism. Bright, eye-pleasing colors of walls and jute materials relax, calm down and bring the oriental style. Green plants of Sansevieria, spider plant or Scindapsus, golden hand-made “panels” separating the transitive hall from the stairs or hanging bamboo blinds give our interiors a natural, ecological character, just like accessories brought straight from Thailand. Among the decorations, one may find original statues of Budda guards or Budda himself.
Kitchen Revolution (Kuchenne Rewolucje TV Show) in Kraków, the capital of Polish big and small restaurants, have always excited the local community of tourists and TV viewers. Participation in the show was a big reward for us. Technical and professional view of Mrs. Magda Gessler is a great honor and help at the same time.
Co-operation with Mrs. Magda Gessler is very demanding. However, even the most harsh critic from her mouth is a precious hint, which should be converted to success. These indications were incorporated in the every-day rhythm of Samui. The most important thing for us was for them to stand the test of time. We are happy that the commonly-developed standard of guest service or kitchen supply is still present. Although the development and changes are natural, Kuchenne Rewolucje (Kitchen Revolutions) are still alive in here since it cannot be forgotten.
